Craft and Cookies 14/08/26

The third Friday morning craft session took place at St Luke's on 14 August. It was another very successful event where seven dedicated crafters introduced their work. It was extremely well organised, people spent 15 minutes at each table, watching, discussing and, in some cases, trying out the various activities, then Moira rang a bell and everyone moved on. A very good time was had by all and everyone learned a lot!

St Luke's was a hive of activity soon after 10am.

Lisa brought along a craft which was quite like using Pearler Beads but without the need to fuse them with an iron!

This probably gives a better idea of what's involved.

Next to them Margaret told Linda how to do Diamond Painting.

Yvonne shared the table and explained how she sews greetings cards .

Moira rang a bell and everyone moved clockwise to the next craft.

On the next table there was a wooden jigsaw puzzle Moira had discovered.

The idea was to colour one of the cat shapes and stick it in place on the board.

Judith explainsd how to make a chain to start a piece of crochet off.

She had brought along some lovely examples of the blankets she has crocheted.

Jo was on the next table with a wonderful display of cards she's made.

At midmorning we had a 10 minute break for coffee and cookies - thanks Beth!

Then on to the next table where Jennifer was busily making lace.

Mike brought along two of his hobbies, this one is painting with watercolour pencils.

He was busy on the next table so he left detailed instructions.

Pam seems to be doing a brilliant job decorating that wooden spoon.
