Craft & Cookies 26/3/26

This was the second craft event at St Luke's. Eighteen creative souls from the parish joined together at St Luke’s to make their own individual Easter Gardens. Much mess was made but the results were glorious!
The Rector, Nick, blessed the gardens before they were all precariously taken home.

The first step was adding potting compost to the bowls.
Then on with the planting - gloves were available if you wanted them.
There was plenty of sharing ideas and swapping plants.
Although there were plenty available some people didn't bother with gloves.
Mervyn and Nick helped by making crosses - although they didn't create gardens.
There was a buzz of activity while people got on with the task.
Some people lit up the tomb
or added labels like this one.
Some people added extra things like these glass pebbles.
Some kept it very simple with s single type of flower, sweet violets in this case.
These ceramic mushrooms added interest
as did plants with interesting leaves.
All done!
The potting mix mostly landed on the plastic tablecloths so this was the fist stage of clearing-up.
Finally here we all are with our creations.
