As a Benefice we receive no financial support from the government, the Church of England or the Diocese of Oxford. Every penny we require for the running costs of our churches, the maintenance of our buildings and the ministry in the Benefice has to be raised by the church community.
We need financial support to enable us to meet further increase in our costs, and to underpin the spiritual and pastoral life and work of our churches.
Every month we have to pay:
- £4,580 to the Diocese to support them and the National Church
- £1,250 to pay for heating and lighting in our churches
- £2,500 for the other regular costs of running the parish including insurance
- Maintenance of the buildings varies but is in excess of £3,000
